A Community
with Design Besties
When a PTA member reached out to Nikki asking for free furniture, she knew we could do better than that. Nikki floated the idea to the Besties…what if we created an entire space where teachers could truly relax and recharge? And just like that, the Design Besties’ Teachers’ Lounge Movement was born.
We had no idea what kind of reaction to expect from the teachers at Bowman Middle School. What we weren’t prepared for was our own emotional response to their surprise. The reveal was unforgettable; seeing the joy and gratitude on their faces reminded us just how powerful thoughtful design can be.
And when teachers feel supported, there is a domino effect impacting our future generations.
